Now that is a voice that was made for making folk records, the kind that we remember from our parents collection such is the pure authenticity of the emotions that tumble from ‘When The Tide Rolls In’. Amelia Coburn makes it so that we are drawn into her sea of danger around every corner in a strange city emotional swells and it proves to be an adventurous experience. Not least because the undertow has so much drag, this way and that and in the process we are positively ruffled come the end. And oh so contented too. ‘When the Tide Rolls In’ is the opening track from Amelia’s forthcoming LP ‘Between The Moon and The Milkman’. KH
