Wurld Series – Queen’s Poisoner

There is a thunder to what Wurld Series have conceived here and for an indie-rock aficionado it is most welcome. ‘Queen’s Poisoner’ is taken from the New Zealand act’s new LP ‘The Giant’s Lawn’ but could have come from peak 90’s. Off-kilter to a slacker fault but with a tune that you’d hum all day and yes there are plenty of pointers to a Pavement/Superchunk/Number One Cup influence going on. Plenty happenings going on below the surface too so an aged indie boy like I was grateful for the absolute boon. KH
