‘Christmas Song’ opens like Jose Gonzalez ‘Heartbeats’ for me, which is a good thing especially when we are talking about a bona-fide festive ditty. And how so few new ones come along that we genuinely feel we’ll be returning to the following December. But ‘Christmas Song’ has something extra and it it is something that might have fitted snugly on Low’s classic yuletide EP. London’s Will Knox has achieved it with a minimalism but that constant ebb and flow has the capacity to have us swaying in time because we are soothed, oh so soothed by our newest perennial. KH
