The Landing – From Mars With Love

The kind that is akin to staring at the stars at night, a childlike feeling and for that we have to put it down to the Landing’s vision. They have soul, they can evoke romance but they don’t shy away from the realities of their situation either. This is romance with self-awareness for a change and for that we have to dish out the kudos to Jon Bell and gang. ‘From Mars With Love’ has a shimmy that will appeal with everyone from trekkies to those who have a hankering for post-Motown soul. I am stuck somewhere in the middle, loving that alt pop has found a new champion. The Landing’s debut LP ‘Beautiful Human, Beautifully Human’ is out now. KH
