The Apricots – I Don’t Think You Need Me Anymore

There is a romantic swell, a summer groove to Portland’s the Apricots and a little something fruity too but that would be the minimum you’d expect. The real joy comes in those vocal harmonies and suddenly it felt like we were in the first flush of summer and the love that goes with it. That there might be an ending of the romance hardly matters for this is sweet nectar for our ears and ideal company for endless winter and bitterness. The Apricots show us how to neatly deal with all that burden for their approach is a lesson in sweet decorum. KH
