Sand Reckoner – Never Alone

Plenty psych drifts to go with this one, ‘Never Alone’ offering us company when the expected cohort let you down. So good on Sand Reckoner (Benjamin Hughes, Jonathan Lesh) for whipping up a gentle stew of chords, the kind that reminded me of the Late Cord and in keeping with a quieter run into the festive season. Sure it is folk but this act have pulled from scenes beyond those narrow borders to give us a comfort blanket to wrap around us when the bitter winds start to bite. A little Grizzly Bear so we’re really in the realms of sumptuous here. KH
