Matched – Give In

There is a proper indie pop manner to ‘Give In’, the kind that comes from both the bouncy playing and a singer (Emily Townsend Hall) who offers up every scintilla of her being and a way with jaunty humour that is passed on easily to the rest of us. Yep, Matched are our type of band and ‘Give In’ is our type of song because it feels like it could have been the ideal candidate for our mixtapes back when compiling things was the making of our day. A burst of sunshine, nostalgia from the underground and I know I will be spinning it for months to come as a result. What a debut from this Nashville couple, our Christmas came early. KH
