Wurld Series – Lord of Shelves

Such woozy stuff, so very alt 90’s with more than a hint of Ride and their early EP’s so there is shoegaze to be lapped up and in some quantities. What I love most about ‘Lord of Shelves’ though is how noisy it is, never for one second letting the fervour drop and maintaining a sense of vocal melody (a la Mark Gardener) so no matter how those riffs screech we have a core of sweetness to sustain us. Not just right up out street this ‘Lord of Shelves’ is knocking on our front door. Perfect match from this New Zealand troupe. KH
