Ryan Wayne – I Will Always Be Here For You

It’s good to get settled Ryan Wayne’s way of being with a song or two before it dawns on me, you and them that there was more than a little Alan Parsons going on. You’ll heard it in the prog-rock element, but also a rolling set of harmonies so there is a lovely contrast between the more chord based machinations and the vulnerable words of our hero. A love song then but done in a manner that is rare, reminding of Grandaddy and the way they summon melancholy and turn it into the most uplifting talking-to imaginable. Irresistible stuff from this Canadian bard. KH
