A classic kind of Byrdsian jangle approach taken on ‘Good Terms’, but not only that because Toronto’s Quirks apply the descending vocal style too to remind us of one of our faves Teenage Fanclub into the bargain. No hiding behind spectacles and floppy fringes though because this singer wants to be heard and given the store of happiness that he wants to impart is it any wonder. A song so vibrant it is likely to rub off on the rest of us as we contemplate life without summer and sunshine and look for other ways to keep the dream alive. KH
