Nashville duo Small Victory are on the sort of run of form which leaves us completely unable to turn our noses up at their songs. It seems as if they’ve just clicked into a comfortable groove that doesn’t reveal itself immediately but on careful inspection reveals the wealth of smooth arrangement that is near jazz like in its weaving. ‘Dancer (Very Good)’ spins a form of lolloping momentum that has at its heart a singalong that will appeal to anyone who wants to mix their psychedelia with pop romance.
