Sharing – Curtains

Losing Sinead O’Connor was a tough one and it is probably her recent passing that heightened the similarities I felt to her vocals on this track from Utah’s Sharing. ‘Curtains’ is dreamy stuff but mournful in most of every respects, that it delves in near Jean Michel-Jarre like synths adds colour, not that we needed much more because Nicole Steinicke conveys flushed heartbreak in levels that could have us welling up ourselves. There is magic in the air, ‘Curtains’ sound like it is drawing us into the world of this fragile act with immeasurable talent and the power to reduce a room to levels where you can hear a pin drop. Special to a degree where words feel inadequate to describe it. KH
