Sea Lemon – Breakdown

Couldn’t help slipping back into Slowdive mood, the kind that I thought had gone into eternal hibernation but Seattle’s Sea Lemon (Natalie Lew) do appear to have put a new spin on that dreamy texture. Might be on the softer side, melodically flush though so the age old cavernous shoegaze cathedral of sound is safe in their hands. ‘Breakdown’ gives us room to breathe and after some time a little dreaming while still awake for that is surely this genre’s greatest gift. Volume maxed out and once again we’re in a haze that we don’t want to end. KH
