Carver Commodore’s drummer sure does do everything in his power to be at the heart of proceedings but by a cruel stroke of luck there are a coterie of other players in his vicinity who are determined to do similarly. So we get grandeur in the chords, organ and in a frontman who was born to lead the line and comes fitted with a chorus to add a sweet spot to a tune that has anthemic streak written all over it. A proper head filler then in the Jellyfish mould of old, fulsome of production values and driven by the kind of happiness the rest of us could do well with aspiring to. KH
