Book of Moods – Sunday Mood

‘Sunday Mood’ does take us places that didn’t seem possible of a Sunday afternoon but then Woodrow & Luth of Paris act Books of Moods have taken their cues from the perfect stillness of that special time. In the process we can evacuate all thoughts of work, stress and having to rush about our business in favour of the clear distillation of having the day all to ourselves. Not that it entirely laidback and sleepy because there is a proper percussive element here that punctuates all that folk balladry with a sense of purpose. So very different to what we’d usually go for but then in terms of atmosphere this is one utterly persuasive work. KH
