Romanie – Are We There Yet?

There is plenty chord action and it is ably backed up by a percussive element from Belgium’s Romanie Assez (Melbourne based) that ups the ante even further so we were reaching boiling point come the vocals, edging towards rhapsody at the chorus and if a song is capable of making old man hugger swoon at his vintage you just know that you are on a winner. Romanie does some serious business on ‘Are We There Yet?’ and it feels good to be around it, fresh indie rock thinking is always going to go down well and this is absolutely stellar stuff. It takes a lot of talent to make music sound this effortless. KH
