Person – At The End Of The World

My oh my it does seem that all the sadness that folk can muster has been distilled into this instance but then the title probably told us in advance what to expect. For all its folkness though ‘At The End Of The World’ definitely offers plenty Thom Yorke and Radiohead, like the past, present and the future has been contained in a track that has dark beauty as its constant guide rope. ‘At The End of the World’ is undoubtedly intense stuff but even with an ocean of forlorn to contend with it is hard now to wonder at how Person have channelled Midlake here too and that is most definitely something to celebrate. One to return to time and again because of the sheer depth of feeling. KH
