Chief Springs – House Money

There is a rather falling down, full of the joys of life kind of folk rock quality to ‘House Money’ and it reminds me of Frightened Rabbit to a large degree. Always loved that band and being a Chief Springs convertee recently it makes for a compelling reason to give every new song from them our full unadulterated attention. ‘House Money’ is certainly deserving of that time allotment because there is a seam of emotional reasoning happening but also a song that goes through the soft gears from introspection to near full on celebration. The Leicester lads sing with full hearts and there is spillover to ours so how could we resist. KH
