Alic Ward – Wooden Army

There is an innocence and childlike sense of wonder to Alic Ward’s ‘Wooden Army’ and it quite reminded me of Propaganda and their big hit ‘Duel’. Of course there is probably a bigger palette to ‘Wooden Army,’ an ambitious streak too that could have really gone off the handle in less accomplished hands. I guess what I am rambling on the spot about is that this track really struck a chord and its myriad of twists and turns all adds up to a work that is kooky but beautifully conceived. A direct hit.
