You Said Strange – Control

There is some serious percussive dimensions to ‘Control’, they never lost control to be fair for France’s You Said Strange appear too conversant in the art of song design to let things run away from them. On headphones this track feels all encompassing with the vocal harmonies adding to the grandiose instrumental qualities, a living breathing work that talks to us even when the words take a backseat. They have some Madchester vibes and that is probably while it appealed to me so much, production finesse adding to a spectacular and fulsome sound. KH
