Sure does remind me of the Coral, the kind they were capable of in that offbeat way of theirs where you know the songwriting is top but they just go about things in their own manner. It is the neu-folk way and we wouldn’t change it for a minute, the Early Purple (Matt Saxon and friends) harking back to long distant times but doing it with a nuance to what makes a song lodge itself deep inside the recesses of our mind never to be dislodged. Yes, ‘Summer Hide’ has arranged a permanent perch for itself alright – a proper piece of music to call upon time and again. KH
