Derde Verde – Don’t Look Away

You know Derde Verde reminded me of early R.E.M. on ‘Don’t Look Away’, for one there’s a singer who is distinctive and so elegant in his approach but all around him the players bring their own personality to proceedings so at times I wasn’t sure where I should focus my attention. The effect is a tune that needs a few revisits to properly get to the bottom of what is going on, but from the first occasion it was clear we were dealing superior artistry from this LA act. KH
