Lily Kelso – The Car

It is the descending vocals that really struck me as being imaginative, melodic and with the great sixties girl group pop songbook in there informing it. That ‘The Car’ has a most contemporary feel just shows us what a great act we have on our hands in Boston’s Lily Kelso because not only is there are wonderful vocals but there are twists and turns that constantly send honeyed hooks in our direction. Not afraid to throw some loud spanners in the work either, before drawing us back in for that sweet ending. KH
