Extra Special – I Can’t Stay

There is a making this indie pop her (Belle Mare’s Amelia Bushell) own kind of feeling to Extra Special’s ‘I Can’t Stay’ and it is at the very least endearing. A voice with character so every word brings with it a certain wonder that sustains us right the way to the chorus. I was reminded of the Pretenders in the instrumental break so there was even so much to admire every step of the way. ‘I Can’t Stay’ is kind of song that offers amiable company every time, longevity because of its fresh thinking borne out of real life tragedy so an all round triumph in every respect.
