Box Dreams – Impressions

Nice jangle, echo effects and singer Adam Rhodes with a languid approach but one which syncs in with the general ambience of the piece. This is serious stuff despite the chiming and for me it only loosened up when the momentum turned on a sixpence to afford us a sense of wind in our indie hair set to music. Box Dreams do have something special to their sound for sure, the switching in and out of frenzy handled with a keen eye and the sense of other-worldliness smashed to pieces when that alter-ego emerged. Our type of band, they just follow their own rules, which will hopefully be the way it stays. KH
