The way it introduces itself to us you’d have expected something folk but it didn’t take long for the rock tundra to make itself known and that is more than enough to stir our little indie soul let me tell you. Boston’s Paper Lady have the bit between their teeth and endlessly press us into the kind of rhapsody via Alli Raina and the molten instrumental forays that we rarely exhibit these days. A little My Bloody Valentine at the end to squeeze yet more joy out of a glorious piece of action. KH
