The piano is such that we feel we are in Thom Yorke territory but Jordan has managed it so there are not too much off-piste turns, instead this is a love song with its own approach. There is a thread of linearity and in some cases there could even be people singing along in time to ‘Don’t Love Me Where It Hurts’. I could hear a classic bent too, something from the great 70’s songbook and embellished with brass to a degree that Jordan Sommerlad ticks most of every box that we need to fall head over heels for a tune.
