Wanderland – Sleepwalker

‘Sleepwalker’ does have a haunting pallor on its side, the kind of wispy folk manner that is at once capable of issuing a chill down the spine owing to its ghostly but welcome presence. A lot of that is down to Natalie Wildgoose who can convey a warmth but also a certain distance, in the early stages at least, so that we are natually drawn to this elusive, enigmatic presence that gets more familiar and wholesome the more we venture into the song. Something for December and beyond then. KH
