Robin Kester – Celeste

Always the drama with a Robin Kester record and in this case a variety of lesser know instruments such as the spinet, wurlitzer and vibraphonette. ‘Celeste’ shpws the Dutch act in a sort of lolloping action with a faint pulse of singing there to offer a dreaminess. It could be the sound of the first snow flurry or just a general approximate of winter but leaning towards the cosier kind. Whatever this magic is it conjures all sorts of warm feelings inside, swells of organic sweetness turned to music that just syncs with a better state of mind. You can probably tell we’ve been taken and never want to be recovered. KH
