Silver Liz – L.I.F.

Such is the hold Silver Liz have on me I get a frisson of excitement when I see their name (Carrie and Matt Wagner) and even before I press play. Seconds in and the pedal steel guitar had me arching a single eyebrow but there was more than enough of that dreampop allure in the singing to confirm that it is indeed the act we were expecting. If anything the duo are pushing their sound, new textures meaning that there may be even more longevity in a sound that has extended from the deepest 90s. Could see Beach House fans also finding favour in L.I.F.’s (Lost in the Finite), a swirl that is ever so pretty, couldn’t be without it in fact. Silver Liz sumptuously continue on their Slowdive to Mojave 3 arc. KH
