Plumface – Cemetery

There’s a band from the deepest 90’s called Chapterhouse who I was reminded of here , on ‘Cemetery’, Field Mice and Lightning Seeds too it must be said. Namely a preponderance for jangling chords and fey boy vocals that come together to create a slipstream of fragrant ambience that is twee to a degree but also clever in that all the moving parts add up to a meaningful whole. A smashing debut, one that really chimed with old indie headed me. KH
