Low Hummer – Panic Calls

Six-piece Hull outfit Low Hummer have in ‘Panic Calls’ a case for throwing the kitchen sink at it and that post-punk scattering of rush and tumbleism is a winning formula. Words scattered like occasional furniture after a storm but a chorus that Blondie might have been disposed to all adds up to a giddy piece of work in a constant state of evolution and throwing down the gauntlet to us to get with its propulsive mannerisms. I did because I had to, this is youthful expression that never takes the easy option. KH
