Freddie Willetts – Looking At Photographs

A proper personal ode to nostalgia and conducted in such a unique manner it might take a little while to sink in. But ‘Looking At Photographs’ is innovation in a time where such a characteristic is distinctly rare. So for me Birmingham’s Freddie Willetts has taken the ambient game on, it can still fit in as background but such is the swirling seesawing taking place we can’t help but be swallowed up. There’s an unmistakably awkward groove but most of all it sounds like an artist with something to say and a pretty unique way of saying it. KH
