Eosine – Ciarán – mp3hugger

Who do you call when you want to evoke the classic dreamy guitar laced 90’s sound, why Mark Gardener of course and his hand is all over this new track from Belgian band Eosine who may well be starting out but boy have they created a tune in ‘Ciarán’ that will be a highlight through their career. And that is down to all the beautiful swells, the combination of wonder-filled vocals and a chord arrangement that is near Sigur Ros in its epic splendour. There were times when it felt as if we were being subjected to a form of spiritual devotion so perhaps we have found the Cocteau Twins mark II are all. Gorgeous doesn’t seem an adequate enough word to describe it. KH
