Such slow formulations from a trio from Northern California, easy going but strutting. And that is down to nothing on their behalf because we knew they were pretty special but had been looking for the moment where everything fell into place. And ‘Paid’ does just that, the right mix of slacker chords and layered harmonies that just matches this late summer mood around the place. Easy sounds, nothing rushed and something to slip into to make us feel a little better about ourselves just by virtue of its presence. KH
