Sub Cultures – Smoke Room

What a busy piece of industry this is, post punk from Wales with all the trimmings and all led by a singer who is capable of grabbing proceedings by the throat and giving ut a damn good throttling. But he is not the only highlight on ‘Smoke Room’ for there are instrumental breaks to punch holes in the wall so imagine what they are capable of doing to our frazzled old head. Yes, Sub Cultures are upstarts and they come here to not merely take part but to completely take over and we’re grateful that there are hero bands capable of such things in 2022. Glory, glory, glorious uproar. KH
