In terms of the charm stakes this is up with the best of them, full of dreamy episodes containing a vocal that floats freely in the air and all around the birds and the bees have convened to create an arrangement that just flutters along in time. Sounds to me like dream folk for the last vestiges of summer and the sunshine that will sustain us through the darker months. ‘Romain’s Place’ offers all sorts of refuge, a balm for all the ills all around because it is so full of the joys no matter what bumps need to be circumnavigated along the way.
