Montclair – Deep End

The quietness is such that we know we are in the hands of a folk troupe that know the history of their chosen genre and so ‘Deep End’ has us settled into a comfortable groove well before the first half minute is out. And there is a lot to be said for such definites in a world that is harder and less likely to look out for our wellbeing. But this is comfort music, a band doing it for the right reasons and so we are inclined to Montclair’s way of doing thing, increasingly feeling that this track had more than we had initially bargained for. A sweet and fully textured few minutes. KH
