Completions – Transplanting

Shawn Alpay manages to evoke much yearning to his work as ‘Transplanting’ has that soaked in tears thing about it, but so full of love and so it makes sense that it inspired by the emigration of a very close friend. The lovely textured dramatics become almost inevitable as a result given the stock of this artist and Laura Stevenson just adds that lovely subtle dimension which means though we are apart we will never lose touch.
