Anguid – Big Bright Screens

Languid is one of my fave words so was delighted to see a band name as such and they reminded me the Beta Band in the way ‘Big Bright Screens’s comes at us in such a lolloping manner. So languid (!) in fact was it that I swung around for a second time to take in the view, a relaxed listen but one where it feels like we are breaking new ground all the same. The whistling and general looseness gave me something of a Beck vibe (well done Aidan Boardman) to go with all the other behemoths that ‘Big Bright Screens’ tends to evoke. Almost feels like it is playing with us, so we felt compelled to play back. KH
