The video promo could have come from the deepest 70’s so big kudos to the Hague duo Silver Lake and on revealing a singer to us who can evoke feelings last felt when Karen Carpenter was still with us. And that comes from the clearest of emotional expressions, doused in sadness but also full of the most grandiose beacons of hope. There is just too much romance going on here to not row in with Silver Lakes’ brand of honeyed indie pop. KH
