Lindsay Clark – Evening Star

It was the overt sadness that got me, a form of the ‘The End’ by the Doors (or anything by Nick Drake) like playing by William Tyler and the ‘She Cries Her Name’ by Beth Orton in the singing so that every second felt like a primal experience. It is so full of heartache though so the surprise is that it takes the form of beauty and it is one that never outlasts its welcome even if at 5 minutes that was a distinct possibility. Taking stock never quite felt this necessary with Lindsay Clark around. KH
