The Pilot Waves – Hurt Enough

‘Hurt Enough’ provides a rush of chords and vocals to create a slipstream to have us humming in the evening air here. Yep the Pilot Waves have created cute and noisy and right up our street. That success comes from being so effective at mixing the soft and loud parts and in the process remind of the Breeders back in their pomp. You could add Sleeper and the Pixies to that sound and in an instant we’re smack back in the 90’s and falling for music that charges for us with the urgency of post-grunge supergroup. Yep, Hurt Enough is a keeper alright. KH
