There was just so much evidence of something of quality operating here, ‘Leave Now’ nourishing us with a fresh instrumental opening and letting those levitating vocal emerge to add the cherry on top. Robin Kester makes the whole composition so effortless that all that is left for tuners in is to submit to its charms. Reminded me a lot of the sadly missed Lower Dens, so it trips along on a warm breeze, semi motorik, garnering smiles and good humour wherever it goes. KH
