Conflict at Serenity Pools – Corn Cobs

I like the track parachutes into our life like something from Jean Michel Jarre at his pomp in the 70s/80s. Of course there are all sorts of spacey connotations and only that Jason Pierce of Spiritualized like vocal grounding us. What adds even more subtlety to a big and boisterous sound however are the additional female vocals. The effect left us spellbound, this is messy, this is all over the place but it is also a glorious affirmation of a talent willing to take risks and everyone of them hitting the bullseye. Like a flower arrangement set to music that nobody has thought of before. KH
