Must say it ushered in flurries of dreampop memories at first and though ‘Perfect World’ probably had a more intense approach thereafter this remains a tune to get lost amid all the noise and swells. It recalls both Echo & The Bunnymen and the Arcade Fire so the momentum was all-encompassing and full of the gusto to encourage us to make good on all our hopes for this mortal coil. A case of all boats lifting for the sheer magnitude of Wings of Desire’s efforts here. KH
