You see this is how stripped back and less of all that production zeal can be just as effective. Of course it needs a singer to be able pull it all together, a presence capable of reaching for the stars from that most earthly of perches. The chorus here had us believing that anything was possible, that First Aid Kit suddenly don’t have it all to themselves (and need to contend with this Leeds duo) and the power of the human voice to trump all the machines could throw at us. This is hopeful, starry eyed and most of all a reason to believe in what seemed impossible. KH
