Neat percussive opening to this and when we weren’t expecting it an avalanche of shoegaze chords have us dreaming of Slowdive in 1992. The vocals are perfectly judged too, vocals melodies streaming in tandem with the immersive soundtrack all around. Yep it had me right back in those early 90’s floppy fringed days, closing eyes and wondering if the music was enough to block all the other inconsequential noise all aroynd. Difficult to conjure this cherished genre but Indianapolis’ Fern Murphy have managed a bullseye here. KH
