I am liking this for a number of reasons, not least because it lifts us unceremoniously back to the glorious sound of the 90’s and the din that alternative moves from that time were capable of. ‘stars****’ doesn’t really play by the rules but then it feels like an electric ride of inventive zig-zag turns and some pretty classy vocal crescendos. And all the while in the backdrop the chords and riffs beat a path to our heart which has seen fit to open its doors to this form of glorious ramshackle. Buddy Junior (San Francisco’s Jared LeNar in the main) are loud but they don’t care and for that we just want to say how much we think of them. KH
