Was hoping our first tune of the day would be sympathetic to our tired noggin and monmoi appear to have read the situation perfectly with their slightly jazzy drift and George David’s falsetto set to calm rather than rustle us into too much cerebral action. Makes for an alternative love song type for the post February 14th celebrations and while we’re at it let’s just hunker down in the resplendent bath of brass, rather than the more traditional goats milk. ‘Settle Down (with you)’ is a bedroom derived (Paddington, London) romantic that even old curmudgeons like ye auld hugger finds utterly quaint.
